The main source of odor arises from the anaerobic fermentation of organic matter contained in Biosolids. These odors can be reduced through a biological stabilization, a composting plant, a thermal drying or chemical stabilization (liming).  Swift incorporation into the soil A quick ploughing in of Biosolids when spread can also significantly reduce odor. A rapid corporation of Biosolid into the soil can also reduce the odors.
