Nitrogen, phosphorus, sulphur, potassium and magnesium give to Biosolids a high fertilizer value, and these can replace mineral fertilizers. However, these elements are present in an organic form and are therefore not immediately available to plants; they must undergo mineralization to be easily assimilated by plants. The fertilizer value of Biosolid is comparable with mineral fertilizers.
